Vacation Care
Ask any child what school holidays should be
like and the answer will be the same: school holidays should be fun
and exciting!
For children, the holidays are a break from school - a time to
play, relax, enjoy time with their friends and get out and about.
But if you ask parents, it’s often a different story. Many have to
re-schedule work or appointments, book babysitters, transport
children here, there and everywhere, or simply try and find enough
things to do to amuse the children!
MELC Vacation Care programs offer a simple, easy solution to
finding the compromise between fun and reliable care over the school
holidays.
At MELC, our vacation care programs cater
for school children (aged 5-12 years) and they are jam-packed with
activities, excursions and sporting events. We run special themed
days that allow the children to explore their creativity, as well as
providing opportunities to learn new skills and experience different
activities under the supervision of trained
carers
.
So far, our themes have included:
- Pony Camp Day
- BMX Day
- Canoeing Day
- Kids in the Kitchen
- Sports Days (incl. tennis, swimming,
baseball, soccer, hockey gymnastics, tae kwon do)
- Cool Craft Days
- Spy Kids Day
- Dance Day
- Outdoor Adventure Day

We’ve also taken the children on some great excursions including:

You can book your child/children in for as
many days as you need over the school holiday period (1, 2, 3, 4, or
5 days per week) – it’s up to you. Places are limited and they do
fill quickly so we encourage parents to book their child in early.
Simply register your interest by completing the Booking Form
for each school holiday.
We will then advise whether the dates you have requested are
available and if so, you can complete the Enrolment Form to confirm
your booking and ensure we have the necessary information on file
for your child/ children.
The final details of activities for each vacation care program
will be posted on this website prior to the school holiday.
The cost of each day in vacation care changes depending upon
whether it is an in-house activity ($45 per day) or off-premises
(which ranges from $55 to $65 per day).
