Lindsay Johnson

Position: Room Leader

Qualification: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
(Macquarie University)

Lindsay finished her degree in 2005 and started her career at a long day care centre working with children aged 0 – 3 years. 

Joining the MELC team in early 2008, Lindsay has already proven to be a tremendous asset to the team.  She has a natural calmness about her which translates through to the children, and an ability to negotiate with little people in a kind and sensitive way.  Her intuition with the children is most evident when you see the little two year olds sitting and listening in group time – which takes a great deal of skill and patience on the part of the carer!

Lindsay is dedicated and enthusiastic; showing great initiative in her planning and programming activities as well as a willingness to take on new challenges and accommodate change.  Lindsay provides support to the Director of Teaching and relieves in that position when needed.  Her capacity to adapt when given more responsibility is always evident which again makes her such an important part of the team.
